The 24 member troupe is the first Unangax dance troupe outside the state of Alaska and tours the Northwest promoting the history, dance and language of the Unangax tribe.
The Unangax culture reaches back beyond 9,000 years and is the oldest documented Alaska Native culture known. The Unangax were
and continue to be a maritime culture, subsisting from the ocean environment between the Bering Sea and Pacific Ocean.
The troupe’s regalia are historically correct and true to the traditions of their ancestors.
Jim Valley, a Parents’ Choice award-winner, is a musician, composer, performer, entertainer and artist. A member of the rock group Paul Revere and the Raiders in the 1960s, Jim has since forged a highly successful career bringing the joy and magic of music to children, classrooms, workshops and assemblies around the world.

Don is a zoologist and has worked with exotic animals for over 15 years. He’s appeared and been featured in several television shows: Animal Planet, Evening Magazine, and Bill Nye.
Reptile Isle offers a forum for people of all ages to interact with animals and dispel myths and misunderstanding through hands-on education.
Programs are about one hour in length and cover a broad spectrum of reptiles. Reptile Isle currently houses the largest tortoise in the northwest and the only two-tailed monitor in captivity, along with many of the rarest animals in the world.
Sharon Wolters is back with the “Hunters of
the Sky” raptor program. This is a rare opportunity to see a variety of birds up close while learning about their habitats and roles in the environment.
Live birds are featured, representing a variety of species, which include owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles, some of which are trained to the glove for “Hunters of the Sky.” All birds in the tours are residents of Sardis Raptor Center and have injuries that prevent their return to the wild. This program is highly recommended for all ages.
Sardis Raptor Center is the largest birds of prey center in the northwest and specializes in rehabilitation of endangered or threatened species, including eagles, while continuing to provide emergency trauma care for all other species of raptors. A continuing primary goal of Sardis is to release fully rehabilitated animals back into the wild. sardisraptor.com
