Friends of Northwest Hatcheries

Friends of Northwest Hatcheries Logo

Friends of Northwest Hatcheries is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization whose mission is to support natural resource stewardship and education, in cooperation with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hatcheries of the Northwest.

Friends of Northwest Hatcheries is associated with the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, as well as other hatcheries in Washington State and Idaho.

Through outreach programs, workshops, and seminars, Friends works to increase awareness of the relationships between people and the environment.

With financial support from grants, a passionate membership, and countless hours of volunteer service, Friends supports a variety of public activities for Washington and Idaho communities including the largest, the Wenatchee River Salmon Festival.

Becoming a member of the Friends of Northwest Hatcheries is easy! Complete the Membership Application and submit it with your annual dues to support outdoor education and natural resource stewardship programs around the Northwest.

Friends of National Wildlife Refuges Announces Temporary Facebook Page »

In the event of a national government shutdown, the Friends of National Wildlife Refuges Facebook page will be inactive. The last time this happened, the Friends of National Wildlife Refuges started their own Facebook page so that they could continue to interact and support each other through the shutdown and beyond. Would you please remind your Friends groups that there is this resource for them both in case of a shutdown and on a continuing basis?
